A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Excellent selection of Tapas. Everything we ordered was delicious and well-made. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was outstanding. I’m definitely coming back to try more. Ah, this place is dog-friendly. Our dogs were welcome and offered a bowl of water."
"Lovely Spanish Restaurant for a perfect evening in Berlin. If you are lucky enough there will be also Brazilian Choro included! Recommended!"
"It was one of the best dinners I've ever had! The food is so tasty, so good! I really enjoyed being here, the vibe, the music, the atmosphere is truly remarkable! I do recommend to come here!"
"Ok, let’s start with the food. It did not feel much Spanish, even though at least half of them are supposed to be. Nonetheless they were all very tasty. The highlight for me was (surprisingly) the bruschetta. Omg so tasty. Now, in terms atmosphere and service there’s nothing to complain. Great in both aspects. The prices seem a bit high at first, but the tapas come in an appropriate amount."
"It was fun to sit with friends in this place. The weather’s are so kind and friendly, but the drink was over priced."
"Standard tapas at reasonable prices. Nice wine. Slow service (even for tapas). The wines were all poured short (undersize). But overall, mut bien!"
"Congratulations to the chef!! The most tasty food I have ever tried in my life!! I felt like I was melting every time I took a bite, it’s clearly made with passion and professionalism! Super cozy environment, the staff is the nicest and it’s already my second time here.. it certainly exceeded my expectations! Definitely recommend"
"La Esperanza in Berlin is a fantastic spot if you’re looking to enjoy authentic and delicious tapas. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and truly captured the essence of Spanish cuisine. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations — simple, well-prepared, and absolutely tasty. They serve San Miguel beer, which pairs perfectly with the tapas, adding to the genuine Spanish experience. The location is also a highlight — it’s situated in a beautiful and vibrant street, making it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. We visited on a sunny Sunday, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The outdoor seating allowed us to soak up the sun while enjoying great food and drinks. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and quick, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Berlin and craving tapas, La Esperanza is definitely a place to visit. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon with good food, great beer, and a fantastic atmosphere, especially on a sunny day. Pros: • Delicious and authentic tapas. • San Miguel beer available. • Excellent service. • Great location with a lively and charming vibe. • Perfect atmosphere for sunny days, especially on weekends. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a little taste of Spain in the heart of Berlin!"
